Indiana SB0126 repeals the crime of possessing a syringe under health code.

Indiana SB0126 repeals the crime of possessing a syringe under health code, effective July 1, 2026. This change means that possession of a syringe will no longer be a specific crime under the health code, but it will still be considered a crime under the criminal code as possession of paraphernalia. The bill repeals sections IC 16-42-19-18 and IC 35-52-16-88.7.
