Honoring the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana for its service and dedication to the communities and families of Northwest Indiana.

The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has expanded its capacity, strengthened community partnerships, and advanced innovative strategies to combat hunger. It operates a 72,000-square-foot facility in Merrillville, staffed by 34 dedicated employees, and is equipped with custom-built cold storage and a fleet of refrigerated trucks and vans. In 2025, the Food Bank distributed more than 11 million pounds of food, serving an average of over 60,000 individuals each month through a strong network of over 150 partner non-profits, food pantries, congregate meal sites, and soup kitchens.
