Indiana HB1410 establishes a program for Tier II law enforcement officers to complete additional Tier I basic training.

Indiana HB1410 amends the Indiana Code to require the law enforcement training board to create a program. This program will allow law enforcement officers who have already completed the Tier II basic training to also complete the Tier I basic training. The board must establish this program by July 1, 2027. The cost of the additional training will be the responsibility of the officer unless otherwise agreed upon by a law enforcement agency.
