Indiana HB1354 amends the licensure applicability provision for veterinarians to include registration and permits for veterinary technicians. It requires individuals applying for an initial license, certificate, registration, or permit to submit to both a state and national criminal history background check. The state police department can release the results of a national criminal history background check to authorized employees of the board of veterinary medicine, the board of animal health, and the chief administrative officer of the board of veterinary medicine. Effective July 1, 2025.
