Indiana HB1338 amends physician standards to clarify exceptions for gender transition procedures for minors.

Indiana HB1338 amends the Indiana Code to clarify exceptions for physicians and practitioners regarding gender transition procedures for minors. The bill specifies that physicians and practitioners may not aid or abet in the provision of gender transition procedures to a minor, except for releasing a minor's health information to another physician or practitioner in the course of the receiving practitioner's care of the minor, or discussing a minor's medical history with another physician or other practitioner providing care to the minor. Effective July 1, 2026.
