Indiana HB1309 prohibits municipalities from regulating no impact home based businesses.

Indiana HB1309 limits municipal regulation of no impact home based businesses. It prohibits municipalities from prohibiting these businesses or requiring permits, licenses, or approvals to operate them. The bill allows municipalities to establish reasonable regulations for public health and safety or to ensure the business is compatible with residential use. It also prohibits municipalities from requiring property rezoning or fire sprinkler installation for these businesses. Effective July 1, 2026.
