Indiana HB1305 amends grain shortage, claims, and payment procedures.

Indiana HB1305 reorganizes and amends the Indiana Code concerning grain shortages, claims, and payments. It allows the inspector general to receive complaints regarding violations of the Indiana grain buyers and warehouse licensing and bonding law by the agency director. The bill establishes procedures for handling grain shortages, including preliminary meetings, claims meetings, and hearings. It also sets forth rules for determining storage loss, prorating claims, and awarding attorney's fees in certain administrative adjudications. Effective July 1, 2026.
