Indiana HB1278 amends the state code to allow postsecondary institutions that have been operating an eligible nursing program for at least five years to increase enrollment in any eligible nursing program at any rate they consider appropriate. Eligible programs include licensed practical nursing, associate degree, diploma, and baccalaureate degree nursing programs. The bill also allows programs accredited after June 30, 2020, and operating for at least one year, with an 80% NCLEX pass rate, to increase enrollment by up to 100%. Effective July 1, 2026.
