Indiana HB1122 allows special license plates for former state legislators who served a minimum number of terms.

Indiana HB1122 creates a provision for special license plates for former members of the general assembly. Former members of the house of representatives who served at least six terms, former members of the senate who served at least three terms, and those who served in both houses for a total of at least twelve years are eligible. The special plates will be issued effective July 1, 2026.
