Protects confidentiality of communications between first responders and CISM services providers.

Indiana HB1118 ensures that first responders receiving critical incident stress management (CISM) services cannot be compelled to disclose these communications in legal proceedings. It also shields CISM service providers and peer support team members from being compelled to testify or disclose these communications, except in specific circumstances. Additionally, it protects first responders and their employers from liability for acts or omissions related to CISM services, unless they involve wanton, willful, or intentional misconduct. Effective July 1, 2025.
