Indiana HB1087 amends the state code to allow schools and school corporations to obtain and store FDA-approved opioid overdose reversal medication. The Division of Mental Health and Addiction can apply for funds to help schools or school corporations acquire the medication. Licensed health care providers can write prescriptions or statewide standing orders for the medication, which must be stored in a secure location accessible only to school employees.
