Indiana HB1083 mandates the construction of additional lanes on Interstate 70 in areas with four lanes of traffic.

Indiana HB1083 requires the Indiana Department of Transportation to construct one or more additional lanes for both eastbound and westbound traffic on Interstate 70 in areas where there are currently four lanes. The bill also includes an appropriation from the state general fund to cover the construction and associated costs. This measure is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
