Charter schools must contribute labor to conduct referendums.

This bill requires charter schools participating in an operating referendum tax levy or school safety referendum tax levy to contribute a proportionate share of the labor to conduct the referendum. The contribution is based on the total combined average daily membership of the school corporation and any participating charter schools. The bill also mandates that a school corporation may distribute a portion of the proceeds of a tax levy to a charter school located within the attendance area, with the approval of the majority of members of the governing body.
