Senate Resolution congratulates St. Procopius Church on its 150th anniversary.
The Illinois Senate Resolution SR0859 congratulates St. Procopius Church on its 150th anniversary. Founded in 1875 to serve Czech immigrants in Chicago's Pilsen community, the church has evolved to serve a multicultural congregation. It has contributed to the community through education, sacraments, and outreach, and its historic building stands as a testament to its founders' vision. The resolution wishes the church many more years of service and will present a copy as a symbol of respect.
