Illinois Senate Resolution SR0499 recognizes Project Compassion, NFP for its 20 years of service to the homeless, disadvantaged, and low-income individuals. Since 2005, Project Compassion has provided food, shelter, and other essential supplies to over 200,000 people. The organization has also hosted the Girlz On Purpose Tour, empowering young women, and opened the Compassionate Resource Center in Belleville, offering additional services. Project Compassion has received numerous awards, including the Barack Obama Silver Presidential Award for Community Service.
