Designates a portion of Illinois Route 3 as the "1LT James F. Claussen Memorial Highway.
This resolution honors First Lieutenant James F. Claussen, a World War II pilot who was killed in action, by designating a section of Illinois Route 3 as the "1LT James F. Claussen Memorial Highway." Claussen, who initially aimed to become a paratrooper but became a pilot instead, flew seven combat missions and was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart. The resolution requests the Illinois Department of Transportation to install plaques or signs to commemorate Claussen's service and sacrifice.
