Illinois SB4056 amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act to ensure that assisted living facilities provide coordinated hospice care for terminally ill residents. The bill mandates that these residents receive care from a licensed health care professional available on-site 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. The care must meet the medical, nursing, and mental and psychosocial care needs of the resident.
