Illinois SB4026 amends high school graduation requirements, including foreign language and computer literacy courses.

Illinois SB4026 amends the School Code to modify high school graduation requirements. Beginning with the 2028-2029 school year, students entering the 9th grade must complete two years of foreign language courses, which may include American Sign Language. Students may choose a third year of foreign language to satisfy other graduation requirements. Additionally, students must complete one year of a course that includes intensive instruction in computer literacy, which may be counted toward other graduation requirements.
