Illinois SB4013 mandates 90 days' notice for the closure of assisted living, mental health, and intellectual disability facilities.

Illinois SB4013 amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, the MC/DD Act, and the ID/DD Community Care Act to require facility owners to provide 90 days' notice before closing any part of their establishment. The notice must be given to the Department, the Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman, residents, their representatives, and family members. The facility must assist residents in finding alternative placements and comply with all laws until the closure date.
