SB3968

SB3968 amends bidding thresholds for contracts in Cook County Forest Preserve District and River Conservancy Districts.

SB3968 modifies the Cook County Forest Preserve District Act and the River Conservancy Districts Act to adjust the competitive bidding thresholds for contracts. For the Cook County Forest Preserve District, contracts for supplies, materials, or work exceeding $60,000 for supplies or materials, $30,000 for work, or a lower amount if required by board policy, must be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder after due advertisement. Exceptions apply for work requiring personal confidence or necessary supplies under monopolies.
