SB3880 amends the Substance Use Disorder Act by renaming Article 40 from "Treatment" to "Case Management." It allows courts to sentence defendants to probation with case management services as a condition, provided the defendant consents and the crime does not disqualify them. The court must consider the nature of the offense and the individual's history before ordering case management. A designated program must accept the individual for services before they can be placed under supervision. Failure to comply with case management can be treated as a probation violation.
