Allows veterans service organizations to apply for honorary road signs for fallen service members.

The Heroes Way Designation Program Act allows federally-chartered or state-chartered veterans service organizations to apply for honorary road signs for fallen service members if no eligible family member is available. The application process requires a form prescribed by the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation, including the name of a sponsoring member of the General Assembly, the name of the fallen service member, and a fee. The Department will notify the public of any proposed designations on its official website.
