The Illinois Educational Choice for Children Act enables the Governor to submit a list of scholarship granting organizations to the federal Educational Choice for Children Act. This list must be submitted on or before January 1, 2027, and annually thereafter. The Governor can develop this list in consultation with other appropriate State agencies. The submission must comply with Section 25F of the Internal Revenue Code. The Governor must also send a copy of the list to the General Assembly, the State Board of Education, and the Department of Revenue.
