SB3774 amends the School Code to ensure that a truant minor cannot be administratively withdrawn for nonattendance unless they have accrued 15 consecutive days of absences without valid cause and the student cannot be located by the school district or the school district has located the student but cannot, after exhausting all available supportive services, compel the student to return to school. The school district must make at least 3 documented attempts to notify the parent or guardian of its intent to administratively withdraw a student prior to withdrawing the student.
