SB3758

Illinois SB3758 mandates school districts to regulate restroom access based on biological sex and provide gender-neutral facilities.

SB3758 amends the School Code to require school districts to regulate access to public restrooms, locker rooms, and dressing rooms based on biological sex. It also mandates that districts adopt policies providing gender-neutral or alternative facilities for students, staff, and the public. The bill specifies that districts are not required to limit access for minors accompanied by a guardian of the opposite sex, prohibit individuals with disabilities from using facilities appropriate to their biological sex, or restrict access for custodial, school staff, or others in emergency situations.
