Illinois SB3715 amends the Property Tax Code to allow county assessors in counties with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants to publish the list of property assessments on the county website instead of in a newspaper. The list must be in searchable text and include specific notices and information for taxpayers. If no newspaper is published in the county, the publication must appear in a public newspaper of general circulation. The list must be available on the website until the board of review certifies the county assessment roll. Taxpayers can request a printed copy of the list at no charge.
