Illinois SB3686 allocates funds for eviction early resolution grants to counties based on eviction filings and matching funds.

Illinois SB3686 amends the Department of Human Services Act to direct the Department of Human Services to distribute funds for grants to counties with court-based eviction early resolution programs. These grants will support legal assistance, mediation, and other services. The distribution of funds will be proportional to the volume of eviction filings by judicial circuit, with priority given to counties providing at least 50% in matching funds. This Act takes effect July 1, 2026.
