Illinois SB3678 amends the Landlord and Tenant Act by prohibiting the collection of nonpublic competitor information and the use of price coordination for residential rental units. Price coordination includes recommending rental prices based on nonpublic information and entering agreements to not compete on rental terms. The bill also bans facilitating agreements between parties to not compete on rental terms. Violations are considered unlawful practices under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, allowing for civil actions and remedies.
