Illinois SB3640 amends the Wildlife Code to provide free deer and turkey hunting permits to certain landowners and tenants.

Illinois SB3640 amends the Wildlife Code to issue free deer and turkey hunting permits to Illinois residents who own or rent at least 20 acres of land in counties with chronic wasting disease. It also provides free permits to nonresidents owning at least 20 acres in those counties. The bill defines terms like "bona fide landowner" and "bona fide equity shareholder" and sets rules for permit issuance and use. It limits the number of permits a person can receive and requires permits to be carried while hunting.
