SB3611 amends the Illinois Power of Attorney Act to suspend powers of attorney upon the appointment of the Office of State Guardian or public guardian as a temporary, limited, or plenary guardian. The suspension takes effect unless the agent or successor agent received notice of the guardianship petition and failed to assert authority. The court may revoke a power of attorney if the agent's actions caused substantial harm to the principal.
