Illinois SB3418 amends the Community Mental Health Act to allow the governing body to set compensation for community mental health board members. Until compensation is fixed, board members serve without pay. Once compensation is established, it cannot change during the member's term. Compensation is charged to the board and paid from the Community Mental Health Fund. Spouses or immediate family members of board members are prohibited from receiving any compensation.
