Vehicles must be inspected every 2 years on a schedule beginning in the fourth calendar year after the vehicle model year. Certain vehicles, such as those used exclusively for parade or ceremonial purposes, antique vehicles, and those powered exclusively by electricity, are exempt from inspection.
