Illinois SB3400 amends the Illinois Pesticide Act to prohibit the registration and use of pesticides containing intentionally added perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Beginning January 1, 2027, the Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture shall not register any pesticide product that contains any chemical that is an intentionally added PFAS. The use of any pesticide that contains any chemical that is an intentionally added PFAS is also prohibited.
