SB3394 amends the Illinois Criminal Code to modify the provision allowing recovery of gambling losses. Specifically, it excludes losses from fantasy contests, including single-player contests, from being recoverable. This change applies to natural persons who lose $50 or more through gambling. The bill also maintains the existing rule that losses from video gaming terminals are not recoverable. The changes take effect immediately upon the bill becoming law.
