SB3380

AUTO CONTRACT-SIMPLE CANCEL

Introduced·2/4/26
Introduced Text

SB3380 amends the Automatic Contract Renewal Act to enhance consumer protections for automatic renewal contracts.

SB3380 amends the Automatic Contract Renewal Act to require businesses to provide clear and conspicuous disclosures about automatic renewal offers and to ensure consumers can easily cancel such contracts. It mandates that businesses offer a simple cancellation mechanism in the same medium used to consent to the contract. For online contracts, businesses must provide a one-step online cancellation process. The bill also requires businesses to notify consumers of any material changes to contract terms at least three days prior to the change.
