Illinois SB3321 amends the Local Governmental Acceptance of Credit Cards Act to allow local governments to enter into agreements with third-party software providers for credit card payments. These agreements must specify services, fees, and payment methods. The bill also allows local governments to pay multiple tax bills in a single transaction and mandates public notice before accepting credit card payments for certain obligations. The governing body may adopt rules governing credit card payment acceptance. Effective immediately.
