Establishes a bipartisan Task Force to study and recommend strategies for Illinois' criminal justice system regarding emerging adults.

The Emerging Adult Criminal Justice Task Force Act establishes a bipartisan, bicameral Task Force within the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. The Task Force will study and recommend strategies for developmentally appropriate, cost-effective, and equitable approaches to emerging adults in Illinois. Emerging adults, defined as individuals aged 18 to 25, face unique challenges and opportunities in the criminal justice system. The Task Force will review Illinois law and practices, examine models from other states, analyze disparities, and engage stakeholders.
