Illinois SB3313 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow municipalities and certain districts to regulate low-speed electric scooters on public.

Illinois SB3313 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow municipalities, park districts, forest preserve districts, and conservation districts to authorize and regulate the operation of low-speed electric scooters on public roads and properties under their jurisdiction. The Department of Natural Resources is also authorized to regulate these scooters on its properties. The bill specifies equipment requirements, operational restrictions, and conditions for use, including prohibiting operation by individuals under 18 except for school commutes.
