Introduced·2/3/26
Introduced Text

SB3303 amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act to change the statement on cards exempt from photograph requirements.

SB3303 amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act by modifying the statement that must appear on a Firearm Owners Identification Card that qualifies for a photograph exemption. Specifically, the card must now state: "This card is valid for firearm purchases through a federally licensed firearms dealer." The bill also mandates that the Illinois State Police use a person's digital photograph and signature from their Illinois driver's license or Illinois Identification Card, if available, for the Firearm Owner's Identification Card.
