SB3299 amends the Illinois Election Code to adjust the number of registered voters per election precinct.

SB3299 amends the Illinois Election Code to change the number of registered voters per election precinct. In counties with a population of 3,000,000 or more, the County Board must divide precincts to contain 1,800 registered voters. In other counties, precincts must contain 1,200 registered voters. The changes apply to all precincts, including those using voting machines or electronic systems. The County Board must adjust precincts after each decennial census and following congressional and legislative redistricting.
