SB3298 amends Illinois election precinct regulations to ensure each precinct contains approximately 1,200 voters in counties with fewer than 3.

SB3298 modifies the Illinois Election Code to adjust the number of registered voters per election precinct. In counties with fewer than 3 million inhabitants, each precinct must contain approximately 1,200 voters. In counties with 3 million or more inhabitants, each precinct must contain approximately 1,800 voters. The County Board is responsible for dividing precincts to meet these requirements, with adjustments made after each decennial census and presidential election.
