Introduced·2/3/26
Introduced Text

Illinois SB3294 modifies Medicaid coverage by exempting certain persons with disabilities from annual redeterminations of eligibility.

Illinois SB3294 amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code to exempt persons with disabilities who are receiving institutional or home and community-based services from annual redeterminations of Medicaid eligibility. Instead, these individuals will be presumed eligible for continued coverage unless a material change in financial circumstances results in loss of eligibility. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services must provide written notice before and after each redetermination.
