Illinois SB3284 allows school districts to use e-learning days for remote instruction on election days.
Illinois SB3284 amends the School Code to allow school districts to use e-learning days for remote instruction when schools are used as polling places on election days. The bill requires school boards to adopt a research-based e-learning program that ensures at least five hours of instruction per day, provides access to necessary technology, and meets the needs of all students, including those with special needs. The program must be verified by the regional office of education or intermediate service center.
