Illinois SB3282 amends the Enterprise Zone Act to allow the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to designate businesses as high impact if they plan to establish new wind or solar facilities. To qualify, the municipality where the facility will be located must approve the designation in writing. High impact businesses can receive tax credits and exemptions under certain acts. The bill also defines "public works" and "prevailing wage" and makes conforming changes to the Prevailing Wage Act.
