SB3098 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to modify prohibited areas for carrying concealed firearms.

SB3098 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act by changing the list of prohibited areas for carrying concealed firearms. It removes certain areas such as rest areas under the control of the Department of Transportation and buildings under the control of public transportation facilities. It also removes the prohibition on carrying firearms on buses, trains, or other forms of transportation paid for in whole or in part with public funds. The bill allows concealed carry in parking areas for storing or retrieving firearms from vehicles.
