Illinois SB3095 amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to allow the Illinois State Police to recognize concealed carry permits from other states. This applies to states with similar training requirements or those with which Illinois has reciprocal agreements. Nonresidents can carry concealed firearms if they are 21 years or older, possess a valid permit, and are legal U.S. residents. The permit remains valid for 90 days after the holder establishes Illinois residency.
