Establishes the Mahomet Aquifer Advisory Study Commission to assess carbon capture safety in the Mahomet Aquifer.

The bill creates the Mahomet Aquifer Advisory Study Commission to study the safety of carbon capture and storage in the Mahomet Aquifer. The Commission will review reports on the aquifer's depletion due to industrial water withdrawals. It will also assess the effects of carbon sequestration on human, animal, and environmental health. The Commission will include representatives from various sectors and will submit a final report by December 31, 2031. The University of Illinois will provide administrative support. The Commission will be dissolved on January 1, 2032.
