SB3070 modifies high school graduation requirements and university admissions policies in Illinois.

SB3070 amends the School Code to change high school graduation requirements. Beginning with the 2028-2029 school year, students must complete either 2 years of foreign language or 2 years of career-focused coursework. It also modifies university admissions policies, allowing universities to consider alternative qualifications for admission and to waive application fees for low-income students transferring from community colleges. The bill takes effect immediately.
