SB3029 amends the Home Repair and Remodeling Act by imposing restrictions on solicitation practices by contractors. Contractors are prohibited from proposing or soliciting contracts for home repair or remodeling services under certain conditions, including during ongoing loss events, while emergency personnel are present, or between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Additionally, contractors cannot solicit in person for 72 hours after a disaster proclamation unless the consumer initiates the contact.
