Contractors are prohibited from proposing or soliciting contracts for home repair or remodeling services under certain conditions, including during ongoing loss events, while emergency personnel are present, or between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Additionally, contractors cannot solicit in person for 72 hours after a disaster proclamation unless the consumer initiates the contact.
