SB2999 amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow for the revocation of pretrial release for defendants charged with a felony or Class A misdemeanor that is alleged to have occurred during their pretrial release. The State may seek revocation of the defendant's pretrial release under specific conditions. The court may impose sanctions, including imprisonment in the county jail for up to 30 days, if the defendant violates the conditions of pretrial release.
